Overview

CRIS is ReGuest's AI chatbot. It checks incoming guest messages, recognises their intent and, depending on the settings, answers them itself or suggests an answer to the team. In the menu it is under “Sales Intelligence” › “CR:IS”, spread over five menu items: “I am CR:IS”, “My Knowledge Base”, “My Rules”, “Training Center” and “Settings”.

The menu items under “CR:IS”

“I am CR:IS”

The “Overview” tab shows key figures such as “Verified Messages”, “answered directly” and “answered with suggestion”. The figures can be filtered by “Period” and “Channel”. In the “Customize CR:IS” tab, the hotel sets how CRIS presents itself: with “Nickname”, “Profile picture”, a personality under “Behavior” and, under “Options”, the switches “Answers with a salutation and end with closing lines” and “Respond as ‘we’ (hotel) instead of ‘I’”.

“My Knowledge Base”

Here the hotel maintains the knowledge CRIS answers from. An entry is created through “Add entry” as free text. Through “Import content” in the “Import Jobs” tab, content is added from ReGuest, from the hotel's website or from a PDF or Word file.

“My Rules”

A rule sets what CRIS does for a particular “Message intent”. The rules are predefined: the hotel edits them but does not create any. Under “1. Response to the guest”, it selects the answer type, for example “AI-generated answer” or “Predefined answer”, and under “2. Task management and assignment”, whether the conversation is assigned to a team.

“Training Center”

The Training Center shows in three tabs where CRIS lacks knowledge: “Missing knowledge”, “Rejected suggestions” and “Edited suggestions”. “Missing knowledge” collects messages for which CRIS found nothing suitable under “My Knowledge Base”. “Rejected suggestions” and “Edited suggestions” show suggestions that a staff member rejected or edited before sending, each with the guest's message, the answer sent and the original suggestion.

“Settings”

Here the hotel sets how CRIS reacts to incoming messenger messages. Under “How does CR:IS behave with incoming messenger messages?” there are three values: “doesn't answer”; “suggests a response in the backend, which must be confirmed before sending”; “answers general questions directly, applies the rules to specific questions and supports the team with response suggestions”. If “Pause when a hotel user intervenes in the conversation” is switched on, CRIS does not answer as soon as a staff member has written in the conversation, for the time in the “minutes (pause)” field.

Further menu items under “Sales Intelligence”

Auto Offer

Auto Offer automatically creates an offer or a rejection for new requests. For this, the hotel creates workflows under Sales Intelligence › Auto Offer in the “Workflows” tab. If a workflow applies to a new request, ReGuest creates the offer or the rejection from it and, if desired, also sends it itself.

Auto Selection

Auto Selection automatically contacts guests who sent a request in the past. Every night, ReGuest looks for guests who made a request on the same calendar day of a previous year, and schedules a message for them with a link to a personal page on which they can make a new request. The menu item is under Sales Intelligence › Auto Selection.

Prerequisites

  • ‘Sales Intelligence’ does not need a licence module of its own. With CRIS Chatbot, “I am CR:IS”, “My Knowledge Base”, “My Rules”, “Training Center” and “Settings” are added. With Automated workflows › Auto Offer, “Auto Offer” is added. With Auto Selection, “Auto Selection” is added.

  • Access to ‘Sales Intelligence’ is enabled for specific users through their role. Separate access in the role is needed for: “Behavior”, “Options”, saving the nickname under “I am CR:IS” and saving under “Settings”. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.
