“I am CR:IS” is the page where a hotel sees in figures how many messages its chatbot CRIS has checked and answered, and where it sets how CRIS presents itself to the guests. The page has two tabs: “Overview” with the key figures and “Customize CR:IS” with the boxes “Name and Look”, “Behavior” and “Options”. You can find it under “Sales Intelligence” › “CR:IS” › “I am CR:IS”.
Example: Give CRIS a nickname and a formal personality
A hotel wants CRIS to appear with a nickname of its own, to write in a professional and formal tone and to answer on behalf of the hotel.
In the main menu, open “Sales Intelligence” and, in the “CR:IS” group, select the “I am CR:IS” menu item.
Open the “Customize CR:IS” tab. The page has the heading “Customize your CR:IS for your guests”.
In the “Name and Look” box, under “Nickname”, enter the name CRIS should appear with.
Under “Profile picture”, click one of the three predefined pictures. The picture is saved immediately.
In the “Behavior” box, select the “Professional and formal” personality.
In the “Options” box, switch on “Respond as ‘we’ (hotel) instead of ‘I’”.
Select “Save”.
Select “Simulate conversation”. A preview of the Website Messenger opens, in which CRIS answers a test message.
CRIS uses the nickname when it signs direct answers to guests.
The pages in detail
“Overview”
The “Overview” tab shows in figures how many messages CRIS has checked and how many it has “answered directly” or “answered with suggestion”. Three filters narrow down the figures: “Period”, “Channel” and “Facility/Hotel”.
“Period”: the default is the last year up to today.
“Channel”: “All”, “Messenger”, “Website Messenger”, “WhatsApp” and “E-Mail”. “Messenger” counts the messages from the guest platform on the web, from the In-House Messenger and from campaigns, “Website Messenger” the messages from the Website Messenger. The “Channel” filter has no option of its own for Facebook and Instagram: their messages count under “All”, but in no single channel.
The “CR:IS responds to your guests” box gives the number of “Verified Messages” and four shares, each as a number out of a total: “Guest questions and concerns”, “Forwarded to CR:IS”, “answered directly” and “answered with suggestion”.
Below it, further boxes follow, each only if it has data:
“Forwarding to the booking enquiry” appears only if CRIS has triggered booking enquiries. The “Key data” tab shows the number of “booking enquiries launched” as well as the “Request rate”, the “Offer rate”, the “Click rate (offer)” and the “Booking rate”, each as a percentage with the numbers behind it, and also the “Revenue”. The “Booking funnel” tab shows as a funnel the stages “booking enquiries launched”, “Receive enquiries”, “Offers created”, “Clicked offers” and “Bookings”, and below them the “Revenue”.
“Forwarding to the booking process” appears only if CRIS has sent guests to the booking process, with “Booking process started” and “Click-through rate (booking link)”.
“Time savings through CR:IS activity” lists, per “Activity”, the “Count” and the “Time savings in hrs.”, with the rows “Checked messages”, “Direct responses”, “Task creation for teams”, “Used response suggestions” and “Total saved time”. The values are a fixed estimate, not a measured time. Rows with 0 hours are hidden.
“Top 10 intentions of the message” lists the ten most frequent intentions with “Intention of the message” and “in %”.
“Cooperation with CR:IS” shows, per “Employee”, the “Help accepted” column.
“Customize CR:IS”
In the “Customize CR:IS” tab, the hotel sets how CRIS presents itself. It has three boxes:
“Name and Look”: the “Nickname” and the “Profile picture”. There are 3 predefined pictures to choose from. “Use a custom image” is always locked. A selected picture is saved immediately, without “Save”.
“Behavior”: one of 4 personalities, “Balanced (default)”, “Playful and humorous”, “Professional and formal” and “Customized”. “Balanced (default)” gives CRIS no instruction of its own on style or tone. With “Playful and humorous”, CRIS writes playfully and with humor; with “Professional and formal”, in a professional and formal tone. “Customized” requires a description in free text.
“Options”: “Answers with a salutation and end with closing lines” and “Respond as ‘we’ (hotel) instead of ‘I’”. The salutation and closing line only appear if the hotel has stored a closing line for the guest's language.
“Simulate conversation” opens a preview of the Website Messenger in which CRIS answers, even if it is switched off for guests. If you ask about availability there, you get a fixed text instead of an answer from CRIS.
Prerequisites
‘I am CR:IS’ belongs to the CRIS Chatbot licence module.
If the module is licensed, access to it is enabled for specific users through their role. The following need their own access in the role: “Behavior”, “Options” and saving the nickname. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.
Frequently asked questions
Why can a colleague not see the “Behavior” and “Options” boxes? These boxes and saving the nickname need their own access in the role. Without it, the “Customize CR:IS” tab only shows “Name and Look”. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.
Where are the messages from Facebook and Instagram? They count under “All”. The “Channel” filter has no option of its own for them.
Why can't I use my own profile picture? “Use a custom image” is always locked. You can choose from the 3 predefined pictures.
