Analysis & Trends

“Analysis & Trends” shows in four tabs how the hotel's bookings, requests, offers and contacts develop over the months. The figures are calculated by the provider Indicate; the page shows the note “powered by” with its logo. The menu item is under Analytics › Analysis & Trends, and when you open Analytics, you land here first.

Example: Enable Analysis & Trends and view the pickup

  1. Open Analytics › Analysis & Trends. If no one in the hotel has consented yet, the tab shows “Release of the export interface for statistics” instead of the figures. The page explains which anonymised data goes to Indicate Data GmbH.

  2. Turn on the switch “I confirm the activation of the export interface and the transfer of the above-mentioned anonymized data to Indicate Data GmbH.”

  3. Click “Activate interface and display advanced statistics”. ReGuest sets up the connection to Indicate, and a dialog reports “Indicate has been successfully connected. The data is now being synchronised. Synchronisation will take at least 30 minutes.”

  4. Confirm the dialog with “OK, got it”.

  5. After the first synchronisation, open the “Pickup” tab. It shows the “Number of new bookings for a specific arrival period within a defined time window”.

  6. In the “All users” filter, select a staff member.

“Pickup” then shows the new bookings for this staff member only.

The pages in detail

Analysis & Trends

The page consists of a tab bar with “Pickup”, “Performance Trends”, “Room Category Trends” and “Contact Development”. Below it is the note “The displayed data may show slight discrepancies, as synchronization occurs at regular intervals.”

Indicate calculates the figures from metrics on requests and offers and from the guest contacts and their consents.

Release of the export interface for statistics

This page appears in the tabs before anyone in the hotel has consented. It explains which anonymised data goes to Indicate Data GmbH.

  • The switch “I confirm the activation of the export interface and the transfer of the above-mentioned anonymized data to Indicate Data GmbH.” is the consent.

  • “Activate interface and display advanced statistics” sets up the connection to Indicate as soon as the switch is on.

The consent applies to the whole instance. It cannot be withdrawn in the user interface, and it remains saved even if the setup fails.

Dialog after activation

The dialog reports the result of the setup. If it succeeds, it says “Indicate has been successfully connected. The data is now being synchronised. Synchronisation will take at least 30 minutes.” If it fails, it says “The connection to Indicate failed. Please contact the support team”. “OK, got it” confirms the dialog.

Pickup

“Pickup” shows the “Number of new bookings for a specific arrival period within a defined time window”. The filters narrow down the figures:

  • “All users” limits them to one staff member.

  • “Type of offer creation” separates automatically and manually created offers with “All” and two icon buttons.

  • “Device type” limits them to one device type with “All”, “Desktop”, “Tablet”, “Mobile” and “Other”.

  • “Type of proposal delivery” limits the figures to one delivery channel with “All”, “E-Mail” and “WhatsApp®”.

  • “All facilities/hotels” limits the figures to one building or hotel.

Performance Trends

“Performance Trends” gives an “Overview of key metrics in year-over-year comparison”, for the last eleven months and the current one. “Grouped by” orders the figures by “Creation date”, the default, or by “Arrival date”. The filters are the same as in “Pickup”.

Room Category Trends

“Room Category Trends” shows the “Comparison of requests, offers, and bookings by room category”, for the last eleven months and the current one. The tab has no filters.

Contact Development

“Contact Development” gives an “Overview of the growth, consent, and profiling status of CRM contacts”, for the last eleven months and the current one. The tab has no filters.

Prerequisites

  • ‘Analysis & Trends’ belongs to the Offers licence module. With Channels › WhatsApp™ Integration, the “Type of proposal delivery” filter is added in “Pickup” and “Performance Trends”. With Multi-Property, the “All facilities/hotels” filter is added in “Pickup” and “Performance Trends”.

  • If the module is licensed, access to it is enabled for specific users through their role. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Frequently asked questions

Why is “Analysis & Trends” missing from the menu? Only a user whose role includes access to it sees the menu item. If it is missing for all users, ReGuest support can tell you whether “Analysis & Trends” is set up for the hotel. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Why does “Analysis & Trends” show no figures? Either no one in the hotel has consented yet; then the tab shows “Release of the export interface for statistics”, and consenting works as in the example: turn on the switch and click “Activate interface and display advanced statistics”. Or the first synchronisation is still running. It takes at least 30 minutes. If no figures appear after that, ReGuest support can help.

What should I do if “The connection to Indicate failed” appears? The consent is then already saved, but the connection has not been set up. ReGuest support can help.

Can the consent be withdrawn? Not in the user interface. The consent applies to the whole instance.

Why are the “Type of proposal delivery” or “All facilities/hotels” filters missing? Each is added with a licence module of its own, as stated under “Prerequisites”. ReGuest support can tell you whether the hotel has them.
