“System Logs” lists the information messages, warnings and errors reported mainly by the connections to third-party services, for example to a PMS, a payment provider or a booking portal. The menu item is under Analytics › System Logs.
Example: Check which errors a connection has reported since yesterday
Under “Analytics”, open the “System Logs” entry. The list shows the entries from yesterday to today, newest first.
In the “All statuses” filter, select “Error”. The list now shows only errors.
In the “All third-party services” filter, select the third-party service in question. You can search the selection.
In the list, read “Date”, “Category” and “Description” for each entry.
If an entry shows the icon with the tooltip “Download” under “Details”, click it. The icon downloads the entry's additional data as a text file.
The hotel then sees all errors this third-party service has reported since yesterday, and has the additional data of individual entries as a text file.
The pages in detail
System Logs
The page is a list of the messages, always sorted by “Date” in descending order. As you scroll, it loads 50 more entries at a time.
Each entry shows:
an icon for the level: information, warning or error;
“Date”, when the message was created;
“Third-party service”, which service it comes from;
“Category” and “Description”, what it is about;
“Details”: if an entry has additional data, the icon with the tooltip “Download” downloads it as a text file. There is no separate view for an entry.
Above the list there are four filters:
“Search by category or description...” finds entries whose category or description contains the text entered, also as part of a word.
“All statuses” shows only entries of one level: “Information”, “Warning” or “Error”.
“All third-party services” shows only the entries of one third-party service. You can search the selection, and it lists all third-party services, including those that are no longer offered.
“Period” limits the entries to a period. Yesterday to today is preselected.
Who writes entries. Almost all entries come from the connections to third-party services: from interfaces through which a PMS or a payment provider sends data to ReGuest, from price queries to booking engines and from the imports of reservations from PMSs and booking portals. Entries also come from the room import from Passepartout SBM.
Entries that are not assigned to a third-party service appear only when “All third-party services” is selected. The “Third-party service” column shows “None” for them.
Old entries are not deleted.

Frequently asked questions
Why is “System Logs” empty? By default, the list shows only yesterday and today. A longer “Period” shows older entries. Entries are created almost exclusively when a connection to a third-party service is running. If such a connection is set up and the list is still empty, ReGuest support can help.
Why is the “System Logs” menu item missing? Whether the menu item appears and whether the page opens depends on the user's role. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.
