Post-Stay Results

“Post-Stay Results” shows how guests rated their stay. The ratings come from the post-stay message that guests receive after departure: there they give 1 to 5 stars and answer “Would you recommend us?”. The menu item is under Analytics › Post-Stay Results.

Example: Read the weak ratings

  1. Under “Analytics”, open the “Post-Stay Results” tile. The “Post-Stay Results” page appears. On the first visit, the “Period” is set to the whole previous month.

  2. Read the “Average rating in this period”. Next to it, the share and the number of ratings are shown for each star level, together with a ring chart from “1 star” to “5 stars”.

  3. Use the tick boxes for each star level to hide the rows with 4 and 5 stars in the table.

  4. In the table, read under “Rating” and “Comment” what the guests with 1 to 3 stars wrote.

  5. Click the name of a guest. The detail view of their rating opens.

  6. Select “Go to guest”. The guest's profile opens.

The table then shows only the ratings with 1 to 3 stars with “Rating” and “Comment”, and the profile of one guest is open.

The pages in detail

Post-Stay Results

The page shows the ratings that guests gave in the post-stay message. New ratings appear immediately.

  • “Period” limits the ratings. On the first visit, the whole previous month is set. What counts is not the date of the rating but the date on which the post-stay message was activated.

  • “Building/hotel” limits the ratings to one building or hotel. The filter appears only with Multi-Property.

  • “Average rating in this period” shows the average of the stars with one decimal place. Next to it, the share and the number are shown for each star level from 5 to 1, together with the ring chart.

  • The table has the columns “Name”, “Rating” and “Comment”. “Rating” shows 1 to 5 stars and a thumb for the answer to the question whether the guest would recommend the hotel. The “Go to conversation” icon opens the conversation with the guest. A tick box for each star level hides the rows of that level.

  • “Copy table to clipboard” copies the table. There is no other export.

If there is no rating in the period, the page says “There are no ratings in the selected period.”

Rating

A click on the name of a guest opens the detail view with the “Rating” tab. It shows “Rating”, “Comment”, “Name”, “Email address”, “Reservation/variation”, “Period”, “Total price” and “People”. If the guest wrote nothing, it says “Guest did not leave a comment.”

  • “Go to guest” opens the guest's profile.

  • “Correspondence” opens the correspondence with the guest.

  • “Go to proposal” opens the offer to which the stay belongs.

Prerequisites

  • ‘Post-Stay Results’ belongs to the Guest Management licence module. With Multi-Property, the “Building/hotel” filter is added.

  • If the module is licensed, access to it is enabled for specific users through their role. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Frequently asked questions

What must be set up for the analysis to show values? The page shows only ratings from the post-stay message. For this, the post-stay message must be switched on in its settings with “Activate post-stay message”, and the guest must have rated it. ReGuest support can tell you whether post-stay is set up for the hotel.

Why is a rating missing? The guest has not given any stars yet: a message that was sent but not answered does not appear. Or the post-stay message was activated outside the selected period: another period shows it. Or the hotel forwards its guests to CustomerAlliance to rate; then the rating is there and not on this page. ReGuest support can tell you which of these applies.

Why is the “Post-Stay Results” menu item missing? The menu item exists only with the Guest Management licence module, and only a user whose role includes access to it sees it. ReGuest support can tell you whether the hotel has the Guest Management licence module. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Do the tick boxes change the average? No. The tick boxes only hide rows of the table. “Average rating in this period”, the shares and the ring chart are always calculated from all ratings of the period.

When does a rating count as positive? If the rating reaches the “Rating threshold (this value or higher) (1 - 5)” that the hotel sets in the settings of the post-stay message, it counts as positive, otherwise as negative. After a negative rating, the post-stay message shows the guest a field for suggestions for improvement; after a positive one, only if “Show feedback text field after positive evaluation” is switched on in the template.
