Offers and reservations

“Offers and reservations” shows how many offers the hotel sent in a period, how the guests reacted to them and how many reservations and how much revenue resulted from them. It counts by the date on which the communication was created, not by the arrival date. The menu item is under Analytics › Offers and reservations.

Example: View the previous month's offers week by week

  1. Open Analytics › Offers and reservations. The “Period” field shows the whole previous month, and the charts show it day by day as lines.

  2. Under “Grouped by”, select “week”. The charts now sum up the figures per week.

  3. Under “Chart type”, select “Bars”. The charts show the weeks as bars.

  4. Open the “Key data” tab. It shows “Requests”, “Offers”, “Click rate”, “Interaction rate”, “Reservations”, “Booking rate” and “Revenue”.

  5. Click “Show data in table”.

The page then also shows the previous month's figures as a table, with the columns “Period”, “Requests”, “Offers”, “Opened”, “Click rate”, “Interaction rate”, “Reservations”, “Booking rate” and “Revenue”.

The pages in detail

Offers and reservations

  • “Period” sets which communications count. The default is the whole previous month. The page resets a date from today onwards to yesterday.

  • “Grouped by” sums up the figures per “day”, “week” or “month”. When the period is changed, the page chooses by itself: under six weeks “day”, under nine months “week”, otherwise “month”. After that, the choice can be changed.

  • “Chart type” shows the charts as “Lines” or “Bars”.

  • “booked in Re:Guest only” is preselected and leaves out communications that were already booked beforehand.

  • “only direct bookings” counts only communications whose reservation the guest completed through direct booking. All other communications drop out of all key figures on the page, including “Requests” and “Offers”.

  • “Device type (first access)” limits the figures to the device with which the guest first opened the offer: “Desktop”, “Tablet”, “Smartphone” or “Other”.

  • “User” limits the figures to one staff member. The staff member who counts is the one who wrote the offer the guest opened. If the guest opened none, the author of the offer sent last counts.

  • “Building/hotel” limits the figures to one building or hotel.

  • “Type of offer delivery” limits the figures to one delivery channel with “E-Mail” or “WhatsApp®”.

  • “Type of offer creation” uses “Created automatically” and “Created manually” to separate the communications whose first offer was created by Auto Offer from the others.

“Opened” means the guest viewed a sent offer. An interaction means the guest wrote in the communication. The “Revenue” is the price of the booked offer variant.

Key data

The “Key data” tab shows “Requests”, “Offers”, “Click rate”, “Interaction rate”, “Reservations”, “Booking rate” and “Revenue”.

  • “Show data in table” shows the figures as a table, with the columns “Period”, “Requests”, “Offers”, “Opened”, “Click rate”, “Interaction rate”, “Reservations”, “Booking rate” and “Revenue”.

  • “Copy table to clipboard” copies the table. This is the only export on the page.

Booking funnel

The “Booking funnel” tab shows the path from the request via the offer and the guest's click to the reservation, with “Requests received”, “Offers created”, “Guests clicked”, “Reservations” and “Revenue”.

Prerequisites

  • ‘Offers and reservations’ belongs to the Offers licence module. With Automated Workflows › Auto Offer, the “Type of offer creation” filter is added. With Channels › WhatsApp™ Integration, the “Type of offer delivery” filter is added. With Multi-Property, the “Building/hotel” filter is added.

  • If the module is licensed, access to it is enabled for specific users through their role. The following need their own access in the role: “User”, “Building/hotel”, “Type of offer delivery” and “Type of offer creation”. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Frequently asked questions

Why is today missing? The figures are recalculated once a day and go up to yesterday. That is why the page resets a date from today onwards to yesterday.

Why do the figures differ from “Reservations by arrival date”? “Offers and reservations” counts by the date on which the communication was created. “Reservations by arrival date” counts by the arrival date and includes communications that were already booked beforehand.

Why are filters such as “User” or “Building/hotel” missing? Only a user whose role includes access to them sees these filters. “Building/hotel”, “Type of offer delivery” and “Type of offer creation” are also only added with their licence module, as stated under “Prerequisites”. ReGuest support can tell you whether the hotel has them. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Why is “only direct bookings” missing? The switch is only added with the “Direct booking” licence module. ReGuest support can tell you whether the hotel has it.

Why is the “Requests” key figure missing? ReGuest support can tell you whether the “Requests” key figure is set up for the hotel.
