Reservations by arrival date

“Reservations by arrival date” shows how many reservations and how much revenue the hotel has for arrivals in a period. It counts by the arrival date, not by the day on which the communication was created. The menu item is under Analytics › Reservations by arrival date.

Example: View the reservations for the summer months week by week

  1. Open Analytics › Reservations by arrival date. The “Period” field shows the previous month, its start moved to the Monday of its calendar week, and the chart shows it week by week as bars.

  2. In the “Period” field, select the summer months, for example June to September. The page now counts the booked communications whose arrival lies in this period.

  3. Click “Show data in table”.

The page then shows the “Reservations” and the “Revenue” for each week of the summer months, as a chart and as a table with the columns “Period”, “Reservations” and “Revenue”. A week without reservations is shown with zero.

The pages in detail

Reservations by arrival date

The page shows the key figures “Reservations” and “Revenue” for the selected period.

  • “Period” sets which arrivals count. The default is the previous month; when grouped by week, it starts on the Monday of its calendar week. The period may lie in the future.

  • “Grouped by” sets the time segment for which the figures are summed up. The default is the week.

  • “Chart type” sets how the chart shows the figures. The default is bars.

  • “Device type (first access)” limits the figures to the device with which the guest first opened the offer.

  • “User” limits the figures to one employee. The employee who counts is the one who wrote the offer the guest opened. If the guest opened none, the author of the offer sent last counts.

  • “Building/hotel” limits the figures to one building or hotel.

  • “Show data in table” also shows the figures as a table, with the columns “Period”, “Reservations” and “Revenue”.

  • “Copy table to clipboard” copies this table.

A communication counts as booked when both apply: it has a sent offer or an offer created as already booked. And it has at least one reservation that is not cancelled or annulled. Unconfirmed reservations count too. Communications that were already booked beforehand also count: communications whose offers are all marked as already booked, and communications in which the guest opened no offer. The “Revenue” is the price of the booked offer variant.

The page also opens with a click on the reservations of the current month on the dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • ‘Reservations by arrival date’ belongs to the Offers licence module. With Multi-Property, the “Building/hotel” filter is added.

  • If the module is licensed, access to it is enabled for specific users through their role. The following need their own access in the role: “User” and “Building/hotel”. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Frequently asked questions

Why are today's reservations missing? The figures are recalculated once a day and go up to yesterday. A reservation from today appears the next day.

Why do the figures differ from “Offers and reservations”? “Reservations by arrival date” counts by arrival and includes communications that were already booked beforehand. “Offers and reservations” counts by the date on which the communication was created.

Why does a reservation not count? Only communications with an offer that was sent or created as already booked are counted. A cancelled or annulled reservation does not count. ReGuest support can help further.

Why are the “User” or “Building/hotel” filters missing? Only a user whose role includes access to them sees these filters. “Building/hotel” is also only added with the Multi-Property licence module, as stated under “Prerequisites”. ReGuest support can tell you whether the hotel has it. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.

Why is the “Reservations by arrival date” menu item missing? The menu item only appears with the Offers licence module and only for a user whose role includes access to it. ReGuest support can tell you whether the hotel has Offers. Roles are managed by ReGuest support.
